Elaborate security arrangements for Holi; Delhi Metro offerings to be to be had after 2.30 pm
New Delhi: The Delhi Police has made complex preparations across the national capital, especially areas in and around university campuses, to ensure the safety of people throughout the Holi pageant on Thursday, officials stated Tuesday. Metro offerings will now not be to be had until 2.30 pm on Thursday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stated. Metro feeder bus services may also not be available till 2 p.m. and will run as consistent with the schedule after that, it said. On the day of the ‘Holi’ competition (March 21), metro services will start from 2.30 pm on all lines of the Delhi Metro, including the Airport Express Line, the DMRC statement said. The Delhi Traffic Police has made elaborate preparations. Police stated that police had deployed teams with glucometers at significant intersections and prone points to come across and prosecute site visitor violators.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Devender Arya stated they had installed more pickets wherein female personnel were deployed together with male police officers to ensure women could, without problems, method them.
