Even though patients have been wreathing in pain, no single staff nurse at the health center paid any heed. Following this, spouses and children of a few sufferers were seen shifting them to private hospitals to continue treatment.

“Doctors and nurses were unavailable at the clinic despite expecting over 3 hours. We will go to a non-public health center now for our patient’s treatment,” said Jeevan Kumar Mallick, a patient’s relative.

If they do not depose for questioning, action might be taken as in step with regulation,” said Ramesh Chandra Rout, Balasore Collector.

Conversely, Balasore CDMO Ranjan Kumar Padhee refused to comment on the allegations that a personnel nurse demanded money from patients, mentioning that police were investigating the problem.
