Turkish navy holds the biggest army exercise
The Sea Wolf (Denizkurdu) 2019 military exercise, released Monday using the Turkish Navy simultaneously in three seas, will display Turkey’s strong will in opposition to countrywide security threats.
“With the workout, we purpose to expose Turkish Armed Forces’ decision and capability in shielding us of an’s protection in addition to its rights and interests inside the seas,” National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stated Sunday in a fast-breaking dinner at National Defense University (MSÜ). The exercise, supervised by the Turkish army, will run through May 25 within the jap Mediterranean, Aegean, and the Black Sea with 131 warships, fifty-seven warplanes, and 33 helicopters and the participation of 25,900 military employees, the Turkish General Staff said in an announcement.
The Turkish Naval Forces will perform the strategic and operational workout during the drill with situations similar to crisis-anxiety cases and wartime.
Domestic and national weapon systems and high-velocity uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) Şimşek and anti-floor defense boat Albatros will keep drills. Reports said five frigates, corvettes, and four hurricane boats set sail from Gölcük Poyraz Port in the exercise area’s direction early Monday.
High-degree submarines, frigates, naval artilleries, armed UAVs, and search and rescue devices will also participate.
The exercise intends to boost the Turkish Navy’s units and potentially involve using domestically produced palm systems and structures.
As in all the different sectors of the defense enterprise, the Turkish Navy has taken substantial steps in recent years to modernize its fleet, boom combat capability, and become more potent in the face of developing intimidation and countrywide safety threats.
The Turkish shipbuilding enterprise has also made good-sized progress within the place of army shipbuilding lately, wearing out design and engineering services and exporting sub-industry products.
Stressing that the Turkish military determinedly continues its combat against terrorist groups along with the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ), the PKK terrorist institution and its affiliations, and Daesh, Akar said that the Turkish Armed Forces also take necessary measures to defend Turkey’s rights and hobbies within the Eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus.
“Naval forces will keep its activities with the best generation based on home protection enterprise. With displaying maximum attention to correct family members with our buddies, we can defend our people’s interests within the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea,” he said.
Turkey has constantly contested the Greek Cypriot administration’s unilateral drilling interest inside the Eastern Mediterranean, announcing that Turkish Cypriots also have rights to the resources inside the area. Cyprus has been divided since 1974 when a Greek Cypriot coup accompanied decades of violence in opposition to the island’s Turks and Ankara’s intervention as a guarantor power.
The drill became the second grand naval workout of the country in 3 months. In February, Turkey held “Blue Homeland 2019,” with over a hundred vessels on all three seas surrounding the USA. The flotilla covered 13 frigates, six corvettes, sixteen assault boats, seven submarines, seven mine-hunting ships, 14 patrol boats, and other navy vessels. The drill became deliberate six months earlier in keeping with NATO rules and policies.
